Let’s talk about GRATITUDE before we write about lake sales! Last week, our founder and leader, Michael McGaughey found himself in two different hospitals before ultimately being transferred to Emory Orthopaedics and Spine Hospital for emergency spinal column surgery. After eight days in hospitals (spent alone due to COVID) and several painful procedures and surgeries, he is finally back home and healing. He will be up and walking the boathouse stairs soon! We want to thank the many clients of The Lake Team for their acts of kindness during this ordeal. Were it not for one fantastic client/surgeon with a home on Lake Rabun, Michael might have had the surgery somewhere other than Emory, where he received exceptional care from a team of highly skilled neurosurgeons. Thanks to some special clients on Lake Burton, he was given extra attention at Northeast Georgia Medical Hospital in Gainesville during the crisis. Other Lake Team clients in the medical profession shared their knowledge and contacts to assist Craig’s navigation of these unfamiliar non-lake waters. Finally, Michael’s refrigerator is overflowing with food from many clients/friends, providing provisions for several delayed Thanksgiving meals. Michael is beyond thankful for the kindness showered upon him. We also are very grateful to be a part of a team that can provide full service to our wonderful clients even while one of us is incapacitated. Today is Giving Tuesday. To show our gratitude, we will be contributing to both the Foodbank of NE Georiga and Hambidge, two of our favorite Rabun County organizations. We hope you will consider as well. |
One year ago, there were 89 properties for sale on the Rabun County lakes. Today, there are only 32 properties for sale on all three lakes. New and quiet listings are selling quickly and in some instances at full asking price. |
This red hot market shows no signs of slowing down. If you have ever thought about selling, now truly is the time to ask The Lake Team for a market analysis of your property. |
Peace and kindness to all, |
The Lake Team |
