Over the past six years, Rabun County has gained the reputation of having some of the best restaurants in North Georgia making our community a true ‘foodie’ destination. In 2015, The State of Georgia designated Rabun County as the “Farm to Table Capital of Georgia”. Many of our local restaurants source fresh ingredients from local farmers. If you’re in the mood for traditional wood-fired pizza made with fresh and local ingredients, take a short walk to Fortify Pi. Whether you choose one their specialty pizzas or create your own, you will love the taste of the wood fire brick oven pizza. In addition to pizza, you can enjoy delicious sandwiches, wings, and fresh salads. You will want to make sure to save room for one of their delectable desserts, including homemade Cannolis.
When looking for a sports bar to catch your favorite game, hop across the street to Clarke’s on Main. Whether shooting pool is your game, or watching your favorite sports team, you’re sure to have a good time! They offer a variety of drinks and food to consume while hanging out with friends and watching the game.
What is a visit to North Georgia without tasty barbecue? Wicked Pig offers an array of delicious sauces to compliment their unique BBQ entrees. When the weather is nice, enjoy dining outdoors with live music on the weekends.
Looking for seafood in the mountains? Rumor Haz-It, located next to Wicked Pig, offers an assortment of seafood dishes. In addition to seafood, Rumor Haz-It also offers a variety of selections to satisfy everyone. You can relax on their covered outdoor patio and enjoy the fresh mountain air, or dine inside and enjoy their fun beach decor.
Stop by The Soda Fountain at Clayton Pharmacy to enjoy old fashioned Coke floats, Orange-Aides, Lime-Aides, and a typical short order menu.
In addition to the wonderful restaurants that already reside on Main Street, we are excited to see what the future holds for the re-opening of The Clayton Cafe under new ownership. This is an iconic cafe and we anticipate a menu with wonderful breakfast options and down home country cooking. They are expected to re-open in late Spring or early Summer! We’ve also heard rumor of a new gourmet donut shop opening it’s doors this year adding to the many exciting options on Main Street!
