Not long ago Southern Lady Magazine wrote this about Lake Rabun, “Welcoming families for nearly a century, Georgia’s Lake Rabun is a pocket of paradise where time seems to stand blessedly still. Nestled in northern Georgia, in a town fittingly named Lakemont, the Lake Rabun area has specialized in old-fashioned family fun since the early 20th century.” After experiencing BINGO on Lake Rabun for the first time last night, I realized that truer words have never been spoken. It was truly good, old- fashioned family fun. Adults and children of all ages gathered in the Lake Rabun Pavilion and played BINGO for prizes ranging from a free Louie’s On The Lake pizza to a giant tub of Double Bubble. The Caller tried to end the game at least three times only to have the room start chanting, “One More Game, One More Game!” Nobody was ready for the fun to end. I can promise that I will now be a regular at BINGO on Lake Rabun! I hope you will come see how special Lake Rabun is and join me!
