2018 finished the first half exceptionally strong, particularly given the shrinking inventory on the lakes.

With 28 sales and 7 sales pending, Lake Burton is having a phenomenal year!  We have never seen so many sales in the first half of the year as we have in 2018.  Historically, more homes sell in the second half of the year.

The market continues to be very vibrant at most price points below $3m.  However, the recent sale of 6 Bishop Lane for $3,750,000 after only 33 days on the market signals increasing demand for properties across all price points.

 With only 66 properties for sale, the inventory is at its lowest in years and is continuing to shrink with the strong sales activity.

Lake Rabun
The demand for Lake Rabun homes continues to be very strong. At this time, there are only 18 homes for sale on Lake Rabun. With ten homes sold and two pending sales, 2018 will be another fantastic sales year for Lake Rabun.

Recently, 237 Pruitt Lane, listed by The Lake Team, sold for $2,650,000 after only 19 days on the market. This is the highest priced home sold on Lake Rabun since 2013. We had several buyers interested in this home, illustrating the continued strength of the market, even at the upper price points.

Seed Lake
2017 was an exceptional year for sales on Seed Lake with 9 sales. Typically, there are only one or two sales per year on Seed Lake. With two sales to date and one pending sale, we feel the Seed Lake market is in great shape for the balance of 2018.

Seed Lake has recovered quickly from the May storms and interest is strong. The Seed Lake market offers some great values and should not be overlooked. The simple lake life that is available has become a dominant factor for consideration of this special place in Rabun County.
