October 2023 Sales Update

As we approach the season of Thanksgiving, we again want to thank our past and present sellers and buyers for another great year in the Rabun County lake market—our best wishes to all for a genuine spirit of Thanksgiving.
One year ago, there were nine lakefront properties for sale in Rabun County, slightly higher than inventory today. We have seen an increase in inventory in the past month, which is refreshing! 2023 will be remembered for some very high sale prices, including our sale on Lake Burton for $6,750,000 and a new listing on Lake Burton fo $8,250,000 that went under contract very quickly.
It is still a seller’s market and an ideal time to sell if you are considering a change of venue. Now that the summer has completed, hopefully, some potential sellers will consider having us do a market analysis. This will allow homeowners to understand the present lake market and what that means for their property. Historically, as the lake is drawn down, sales continue to slow. With the lake market almost depleted this year, the fall and winter may be even slower.
